This is the most popular of all our workshops :D
Spring 2020, the Cyanotype (Blueprint) workshop is back
In the era of digital imaging, although some people still use film to shoot, it seems that outputting from the printer or the development of the film is an inevitable hustle. Do you also feel that the pictures printed by ink lack some vitalities? And it is too much trouble to develop film (especially color film) by yourself?
What we want you to know is that even after more than a century of development of the image-imaging process, many "retro" artists are still using so-called traditional techniques, or what we call "alternative photographic process" to produce images. The blue sun method is the simplest one.
Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. Engineers used the process well into the 20th century as a simple and low-cost process to produce copies of drawings, referred to as blueprints.

professional advice on purchasing and blending your own chemicals
Q: Will I get my shirt dirty?
A: We have rubber gloves for everyone and 2 aprons, usually you won't get your shirts dirty as long as you don't apply the chemical on yourself. But wearing a dark color or old shirt is recommended.
Q: Must I upload high-res photos to make the negative films?
A: Not really. However, please be aware that if you are printing (like one's face or leaves in a forest ), the outputs can be blurry.
